Sesquipedalism.com: Soft Opening

Greetings and salutations from Sesquipedalism.com: the domain and bandwidth ceded to me, James Black, by the gods of the internet. Consider this post the softest of soft openings, a prologue for a prologue. Over the next few weeks, this site will grow; the archives (up top, under “Writing”) will become fecund with all manner of scribblings: a number of lyric essays, a plethora of unprofitable poems, and excerpts from fiction—published and unpublished, new and old. The news feed will feature the obligatory blog; and very, very soon you’ll find a shop where, with the assistance of Paypal, you’ll be able to purchase my first book (a collection of short fiction). From that store, yes, sure, you’ll get a book, but really, is there anything more exciting than supporting an artist?

So, explore, enjoy, and post your comments: this website has the potential to be an exponentially more exciting place if it becomes a conversation instead of a monologue.

Welcome to Sesquipedalism.com.
